What We Do?
Wellness Programs
Employee Workplace wellness is an organized, employer-sponsored program that is designed to support employees (&, sometimes, their families) as they adopt & sustain behaviours that reduce health risks, improve quality of life, enhance personal effectiveness, & benefit the organization. The program is based on employee’s needs. Companies need to establish a core set of interventions from an available menu of options that includes a mix of program (education & coaching), body health screenings, policy formulation & implementation, support systems & counselling, & those programs that target physical activity, nutrition, & alcohol & tobacco abuse by employees.
Service Implentation
EBH works on wellness guided by the Swaziland National Wellness & Disease Management Systems (SZNS SANS 16001:2013). The standard has been adopted from the South African National Standards. Trainings on the standard in Swaziland are done by the Swaziland Standards Authority (SWASA). As part of implementation & setting up of a wellness program the following systems & documents must be put in place & EBH does give technical guidance & expertise.
Service Competency
EBH is competent enough to provide services required by the workplaces in Eswatini. Companies can register & subscribe annually as members of EBH as per the service packages of their choice. Services are also provided to non-members at a fee. In instances where a service is donor funded, that particular service will be provided at no cost by EBH to those identified companies. Once a member, the organization is eligible to be elected as a board member thus being part of the governance structure of the private sectors response to Health & Wellness. Members are also invited to attend sector forums, management dialogues & policy workshops, thus becoming an active partner in the private sector response on HIV-AIDS & Employees Wellness Program.
