Our SERVICES

Base line Survey
Before any wellness program is established a Knowledge, Attitudes, Behaviors & Practices (KABP) survey must be conducted, results of which will be used for the running of the program. Wellness program priorities differ from company to company hence the need to carry out a business case analysis for each company every 5 years. The Wellness Program activities are crafted to align with & address identified practices & knowledge gaps on the ground. a. Other Surveys on wellness issues will be done at an extra fee.
Wellness Champions Training
EBH assists in the appointment & training of Wellness Champions to the maximum proportion of 1:50 employees & encourages male & females to be represented as well as representation from the shop floor to senior management. In some instances a representation per department or workstation is recommended. EBH has developed a maximum 4-day training manual that helps to standardize all trainings. The EBH Wellness Champion Training covers areas including: HIV/AIDS & TB, Sexual Reproductive Health, prevention & management of major chronic illnesses, stress management, communication skills & basic counselling skills. A one-day refresher is recommended after two years of the initial training for de-briefing & the rejuvenation of the team or a re-Training, if the initial team has changed for any reason. Additionally there is an Annual Wellness Champions Day for experience sharing, learning, & celebrations held at national level.
Health & Wellness Awareness Sessions
Employees are reached in small groups with messages & information on wellness in their workstations. The sessions cover social & health issues that affect individuals in & outside their work life & hence affecting their productivity in the workplace or vice versa. Social dialogues cover issues from marriage & relationships, stress & depression management, sexual reproductive health, preparing for retirement, personal finance management, & gender issues inclusive of Gender Based Violence & sexual harassment. Direct health issues will include mostly prevention & management of major chronic illnesses like cancer, diabetes, tuberculosis, heart problems, TB, HIV-AIDS, & other health issues of public concerns as directed by the Ministry of Health. Dialogues are initially facilitated by EBH staff, at times external resource persons, & later capacitated Wellness Champions can take over on the topics. These sessions run up to 1 hour depending on the needs of the clients.
Mobile Wellness Clinic
The mobile or onsite Wellness Clinic provides a range of screening services with the aim of preventing & management of particularly non-communicable diseases. These clinical wellness services include blood glucose, blood cholesterol, blood pressure, Tuberculosis, HIV screening, Body Mass Index, Syphilis screening, hepatitis Screening & Blood Oxygen Saturation. The counselling ensures that clients are given all the necessary attention they deserve. Referrals & linkages for further diagnosis or treatment is done at the convenience of the client. A client record card is issued & used to record the results of the screenings conducted. The statistics of the exercise are then shared as a report at the end of each working month.

General Counselling
EBH provides general counselling for concerned groups or individuals. Cases can be handled anonymously at the convenience of the client. Particular cases may require referral to external service providers including but not limited criminal cases, medical & spiritual. Counselling can be referred by the wellness champion or the focal person or in any other way which will not limit the client’s engagement with a counsellor or the sharing of information that needs to be shared with the employer. Counselling sessions can also be as a result of traumatic event or after a debriefing session an employee may require a personal session. Each member has a certain quarter of counselling sessions per year which when exceeded an extra cost will be charged to the employer.
Debriefing Session
EBH offers a facilitation of debriefing sessions for Health and Wellness issues, tailor made for employees. Debriefing sessions assist workplaces in reflection on past incidents and also preparing yourself for the consequences of that event. The debriefing sessions enable employees to think critically and also identify potential risk factors of the event. This is a forum where through a psychologist employees are able to vent out emotions, thought and feelings. This exercise helps employees to share emotional reactions, and bring closure to the incident.
Aerobics Facilitation
EBH promotes physical wellness amongst employees. An aerobics instructor is provided by EBH to facilitate a session on aerobics onsite or as per the requirements of the company. An instructor or trainer is provided to conduct the session. Linkages with qualified dieticians & nutritionist is made where necessary. The employer is required to provide a venue & sound system, (Refreshments if convenient).
Condom Distribution
EBH commits to supply both male & female condoms, lubricants & condom cans at your door-step. In line with the government regulations, condom demonstration sessions on correct & consistent use of condoms will be conducted aimed at improving actual condom use beyond uptake. Condoms can also be collected from EBH offices at no cost.
